In 2022 the Ombudsman for Equality received a total of 929 enquiries. Of these, 645 were submitted in writing (69 %) and 284 were telephone enquiries (31 %).

In 2022 the Ombudsman for Equality concluded 664 written cases in total:

  • discrimination: 233 cases
  • supervision and promoting of gender equality plans: 67 cases
  • quotas: 2 cases
  • statements issued to other authorities: 90 cases
  • requests for information and enquiries concerning Equality Act: 64 cases
  • administration, communications and other matters: 63 cases
  • not within the Ombudsman's authority: 145 cases
